Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston and other senior staff have begun preparing for upcoming changes to legislative districts. Redistricting will be taking place later this year, following the release of data from the 2020 Census. Every ten years, the state is required to redraw political maps based on population changes revealed by the decennial census. The Board of Apportionment consists of the Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General. The task of the board will be to redraw legislative district lines.

For more information, visit the Arkansas Redistricting website.
