LITTLE ROCK — Secretary of State Mark Martin said the office is beginning to offer easy-to-fill forms for certain business filings.
“We have begun adding editable fields to the PDF documents of certain applications,” Martin said. “The first form with this option is the application to register as a video service provider.”
Act 276 of 2013 requires video service providers to register with the Secretary of State’s office.
“Forms with editable fields are more user-friendly for both the client and our office,” Martin said. “The client can save the completed document to his or her computer, or print as many copies as desired.”
And the printed application prevents questions caused by cramped space and individual handwriting, speeding the processing time within the SOS.
“This is the first of several forms we plan to upgrade,” Martin said. “We will add more editable PDFs to the website in the coming months.”
Many forms filed with the Business & Commercial Services division can be processed online. Some, however, cannot be filed online due to signature requirements. Martin said the editable forms improve customer service. “When online filing is not an option, we are taking action to make filing as easy as possible for our customers, the businesses and people of Arkansas.”
