Monument to Confederate Soldiers
Located on the northeast lawn, this monument was designed by F.W. Ruckstuhl in 1904, while the Capitol was under construction. It was erected by the state, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the United Confederate Veterans and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
