Secretary of State to Welcome ATA World Championships to Arkansas

What: Secretary of State Charlie Daniels will officially welcome the American Taekwondo Association’s World Championships to Arkansas during festivities at the State Capitol.
When: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 27

Details: Secretary of State Charlie Daniels, an honorary eighth degree black belt, will extend an official welcome to Grand Master Soon Ho Lee along with several foreign dignitaries for the American Taekwondo Association’s World Championships. The competition is set to bring more than 20,000 competitors and spectators to Little Rock this week, representing 17 countries. During the welcome ceremony in the rotunda, Daniels will proclaim “ATA Day” at the State Capitol, followed by taekwondo demonstrations from ATA athletes. The ceremony will conclude as Secretary Daniels orders the South Korean flag to be flown over the Capitol throughout the weekend to honor the thousands of visitors to the state.
