2007 State Capitol ornament and more Arkansas gifts available at the Capitol Gift Shop
(LITTLE ROCK, ARK.)—Give friends and family a Natural State gift this holiday season from the wide selection offered by the Capitol Gift Shop, located in the first floor rotunda of the State Capitol.
The Capitol Gift Shop offers a unique assortment of items both originating from and about the state of Arkansas, including hand-turned wooden bowls, Aromatique products, books, State Capitol souvenirs, and collectible ornaments which highlight a different State Capitol subject each year.
The 2007 State Capitol ornament features the Mitchell-Vance chandelier that hangs high in the rotunda. Earlier this year, Secretary Daniels gave excess original glass light diffusers from the Arkansas Capitol chandelier to the state of Utah to aid them in their effort to restore their identical State Capitol chandelier to its original state. This gift makes the Arkansas State Capitol rotunda chandelier a symbol of the spirit of the season.
The limited-edition State Capitol ornaments are also available for purchase on the Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.ar.gov/holidays2007. The Capitol Gift Shop is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays.
