SECRETARY DANIELS TO HOST FALL YOUNG VOTER EDUCATION PROGRAM
Over 275 students from 43 schools statewide to attend
What: Secretary of State Charlie Daniels is hosting over 275 students from 43 schools statewide next week for a fall young voter education program.
When: Tuesday, October 9th –Thursday, October 11th
Where: Victory Building, Suite 165 1401 West Capitol Avenue, Little Rock
Details: Daily sessions will include a mock election, a review of the history of voting rights in America, information on high school poll worker programs, and a discussion on civil rights led by a representative from the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site. Eligible students will also be given the opportunity to register to vote. Participants will conclude the program with a guided tour of the Arkansas State Capitol.
Secretary Daniels offers a similar program every spring in conjunction with National Young Voters Week.
