(LITTLE ROCK, ARK.) —Arkansas Secretary of State Charlie Daniels announced today that his office is offering two pilot programs to support new Arkansas entrepreneurs.
The Business and Commercial Services (BCS) Division will be sponsoring the two programs in cooperation with SCORE and the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. SCORE, a non-profit volunteer organization, works in conjunction with the Small Business Administration to provide real-world advice to prospective business owners. The Chamber of Commerce represents the business community and provides networking opportunities for the central Arkansas area.
The Secretary of State’s Business and Commercial Services Division is working with the two agencies to provide information and business advice to entrepreneurs, as well as acquainting them with the advantages of joining their area chamber of commerce.
A representative of SCORE will be at the BCS office from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each Friday to offer free business counseling. This pilot program will extend through April 27th.
A representative of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce will be at the BCS office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Monday from April 2nd through May 21st.
“We’re pleased to offer these opportunities to Arkansas’s growing business community,” Secretary Daniels said. “We hope that business owners will take advantage of the information and assistance available in these programs to enhance their own success and vitality.”
The Business and Commercial Services Division is located in Suite 250 of the Victory Building, 1401 West Capitol Avenue. For more information on these programs, call BCS at 501-682-3409.
