Computer Programmer

State agency is seeking an organized, self-motivated person to fill the position of Computer Programmer. Qualified applicants should be proficient in T-SQL queries, Visual Studio.Net, preferably C# or VB.NET, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, and must have professional knowledge of database design principles. Agency prefers applicants with a strong background in Crystal Reporting.

Applicant will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a four-year college or university, or a related field; plus 2 to 3 years experience working within the programming field. Extensive job-related experience may be substituted for a college degree.

Summary of Essential Duties (not limited to the following): Responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and implementing database applications for Elections Division and defining user needs. Includes development of training programs and system specifications such as technical requirements, tests, and conversions.

Salary Range: $ 40,000 - $ 55,000 per year, DOE, plus state benefit package. Position requires background check. Selection of the applicant to hire is contingent upon the results of the background check which may impact the decision to hire.
